Hannah is a writer, director and performer. Her work has been described as ‘elastically hybrid’, ‘charming’, ‘absurd’ and ‘fucking hilarious’.
She has written four award winning comedy/theatre shows, STARS (2023), Symphony of Worms (2019), The Egg is a Lonely Hunter (2017) and In Between (2021) which have garnered acclaim in both Ireland and Edinburgh.
Her screen writing credits include work for Element Pictures, Green Pavilion and Calico Pictures with whom she is developing a new TV project. Her short film Baby Steps funded by Screen Ireland, which so wrote, directed and starred in had its premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh. There it won the Best New Short Drama Award and Hannah was nominated for the Bingham Ray New Talent Award. In 2024 she co-wrote and starred in Good Boy, the RTE Players first original sitcom.
Hannah has appeared on BBC1, BBC3, BBCR4, RTE2 and RTE Radio One. She works with comedy group Dreamgun and regularly performs her own stand up, improv and comedy characters.
“Boasting a boldness few would commit to and a standard even fewer can meet. Absurdist, boundary pushing and with masterful impressions, Mamalis’s ideas are fierce, courageous and paying off handsomely if her future screen credits are anything to go by.”
